Kannen Art-House Annual Sale-Exhibition 2009

From the 18th of October to the 28th of February the annual exhibition and sales exhibition takes place in the Kunsthaus Kannen. Approx. 300 works are presented by more than 50 outsider artists of the house as well as by guest artists from Germany and Europe.
There are shown a variety of objects, drawings and paintings from mentally handicapped or chronically psychically ill artists. This kind of art is entitled as „outsider art“ or „art brut“. For many years this creative work is continuously supported and promoted in the studios of the Kunsthaus Kannen.
In addition to watercolors, chalk drawings and pencil drawings, fantastically produced collages are shown by Michael Globisch whose collages are made with a special technology. Once again the visitors can expect a variety of outsider art which could not be more exciting and more fascinating.
This year the exhibition distinguishes itself by the fact that not only works of the known artists of the Kunsthaus Kannen as Klaus Mücke and Matthias Klepgen are shown, but also works of new young talents from Germany and foreign countries.
